Turtle Beach

01 Jul 2014 12:54

Hi everyone, We went to Icmeler last Aug for the first time and loved it, so much so we are going back again this August for another 11 nights. to be honest last year apart from going to Rhodes for the day and the Stella show twice be did nothing else except laze in the sun and party, we met some fantastic people just after we arrived and our group of new friends just grew and grew to a total of 10 so we all holidayed together and had a ball, we never got round to going on the beach, how sad is that. anyway the reason we are going back is to do the things we intended doing last year and never got round to doing (that's the plan anyway) one thing that interests me and was recommended by a friend is turtle Beach, however looking at the excursion on ICR not sure if we would be in to the mud baths (were a little to old for that and my other half is one of these people who can keep her hair dry whilst showering, if you know what I mean) does anyone know of an excursion that just goes to Turtle Beach and bypasses all the swimming stops and mud baths. I know this may seem a little boring to people but the truth is I can't swim so would never jump of anything in to open water and I would have no chance of getting wifey in to the mud, so part of the day would be of no interest to us. If anyone could point us in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thanks :D

Hi Fuseman. I can't answer your question about organised trips but as I have done the trip years ago I only wanted to go to Dalyan for the day and to go to the Turtle sanctuary. I made enquiries with a taxi driver and he said he would do it return for a cost of 250tl and he would spend the day taking us where we wanted to go. I thought it was reasonable considering there's 3 of us but we decided not to do it this time. I didn't check it out with other taxi drivers but maybe worth negotiating. If you do the trip I would be interested to hear how you organised it.

Hi, funny enough I asked the same question on another site. We too want to bypass the mud baths etc. I'm going with my husband and 2 little girls so this whole organised trip is too long ( having done this before pre children!!)
I was told to look at the following link must admit seems right up your street and ours ☺

Thanks for the replies. That trip looks like it may fit the bill.
