Travellers Cheques

Is it true travellers cheques are no longer accepted in Turkey?

I think though I could be wrong, they will take any type of currency

Do they still issue travelers cheques

We used cheques last year, but sometimes got a slightly lower rate, but still cheaper than withdrawel charges. .

I am planning on using them this year so hope they still take them. Will have to try to find out before we go
