The rate at the moment is very good, the highest I have ever seen in about 16 years. Personally I would buy some some lira at that rate, indeed i asked my sister to bring me back £200 worth when she was there last week. I think it is worth taking the gamble and least have buy a third /half of your spending money

Couldn't believe it when I went on my internet banking and checked what rate I got for 500 lira and it was only 155 quid 3.21 best I've ever seen. I'm here for 4 more days and I will get an extra 100 each day

I've changed my money for next year as the rate was the highest its been for at least ten years but I have seen a rate of 1.9 a few years ago. The rate has dropped a little and as I couldn't see it going up much higher I took the risk and changed my money with http://www.travelfx.co.uk/

Today's rate is 3.1236 and there are no charges if you change £500.
