well we have finally opened our bottle and counted all those coins we have been saving since 1st january and we have a grand total of £793, last day at work today then we are off to paradise once again in the morning for 3 fab weeks x

Blimey girls that's brilliant. You are both very controlled in your saving. I have a tin that I use for all my change but I end up dipping into it way before I've even saved a tenner!!

Do you just save £1 coins?

Get a tin from the £1 shop, you only get money out of them by opening them with a can opener which prevents the temptation.

I would recommend 3 tins, 1 for £2, 1 for £1 and 1 for 50p and 20p coins.

I have tried the ones that need a tin opener and I tell you, it doesn't stop the temptation for me when I'm skint!!
