Who did you book through? They should be able to give you some of the info your after like air con and wi fi etc. Cost of living I would say is about 50 lira a day, maybe a little more but this is with breakfast and dinner every day and beers. What food were you wishing to take into Turkey? Everything is readily available over there so I do not see that you would need to take much over there with you.

hi we have stayed at the Bal a few times but it was a few years ago, to the best of my knowledge there is no wifi, they do have air con which if i remember is in the bedroom. aircon is normally about £25 for the week. Eddie the owner of the Bal is great, really friendly, and very helpful, food is good at the Bal, only down side is the distance from the main resort and beach, food wise you should get away with £30 a day depending on what you want, eating out will obviously cost more. When you get there ask eddie about the turkish night, his mum cooks turkish food its lovely, £10/person. by the way "bal" means honey

Nice one JT! They are poor agents if they cannot answer these simple questions. To Forgeman, what
JT does not know about
Icmeler can be written on a postage stamp!

You can also receive lots of info from this forum. I do hope you enjoy your holiday

Strange that this question came up about that particular place, I was in Asda today and picked up some brochures just for laughs, basically I was interested in how much the larger impersonal agents made out of people, I have the Th*****n brochure in front of me now looking at the price they are charging for the Bal

For one person they are charging circa 65% of what I project that I will pay for my wife and I taking into account flights, transfers and accomodation, £1630 for four people for fourteen nights in June, "Prices are a guide only under occupancy and flight suppliments may apply" makes you wonder how much the poor apartment owners get screwed by these giants of the industry
Sheesh, i haven't booked with a package company since 1995 and this is why

Oliver, the brochure states "Apartments are adequately furnished with twin beds in the bedrooms and either a sofa bed or twin beds in the lounge"

ta it didnt say anything in the first choice brochure so all this is new to me please keep the comments comming also what else to look out for good/bad

Wish we had a choice but the poor folk of Northern Ireland don't have much choice either Thomson or Thomas Cook.We have been going DIY for quite a few yrs. though reckon if prices keep going up it will be along time before we will go that way again. Have booked for next year with a package holiday, flights with both these companies are £1075 for the 3 of us. Not bad you might say but I have got the full package holiday staying in the apartments we like to stay in for £1100 that's including 20kg.Anyway sorry rant over. Friends stayed here in July and they loved it. Will ask them how much they paid for air con and post it.

These apartments are great and Eddie is an absolute Diamond........our 4th stay coming up in September.
Twin beds in the bedrooms and sofa beds in the lounge. Air-con in the bedrooms only. Don't know the cost as we've never used it at the end of Sept.
Basic snacks at the poolside and Eddie has "neccesities" for sale. Milk, water, loo rolls. He also does money exchange and although not the "Best" he is very fair.
15 mins to town, leisurely stroll. 30 to beach and that's really strolling. Loads of eateries very close.
1 depth to the pool......no shallow end. But pool area is fabulously clean as are the whole building.
ENJOY.

Friends gave £70 for 2wks and that included safety dep.boxes. They said the same as pops BBQ/Turkish night well worth going to. Think they have booked or at least thinking of it for next year if they can afford it. Oh and there is only 18 rooms. Sounds like a nice spot.

We take tea bags with us as we don't like Lipton's, we buy sugar, cornflakes and coffee in either Dia or Tansas. This year we had a good deal with nescafe coffee in Tansas, it was a really good price and also had a free nescafe mug with it.

thank you for the comments about wifi can i ask roughly how much it cost
22 Aug 2012 21:57
Can't comment on Bal, but most places the Wi.Fi. is free so long as you purchase drinks etc. from the bar / resturaunt you are in..
