Jobs in Icmeler/Marmaris

13 Jul 2012 10:15

Just posted a 'joke' to sami about getting a job and moving to Icmeler on another thread.

This got me thinking....

I run a mobile disco business here in the UK and wondered what the demand is for UK disco's in Icmeler or Marmaris?
I understand it's very seasonal (probably May - Oct) so would need to pay quite well too.
I guess the obvious option would be to ask around the hotels and bars. I may make some enquiries when I'm there.

Not seriously thinking about it but definately worth considering I think...

I don't need a job there, just a rich man who will look after me while I am there.

Not sure how in demand that would be to be honest, as all the bars/restaurants we visited last year (and there were many :? ) had there own sound systems or dj's, which were more than adequate.
But as you say, worth asking around. You never know till you try!

That's kinda what I was meaning, I wouldn't take all my gear over there lol.
I have a good knowledge of sound systems and amps etc as I used to be a sound engineer before I started the mobile disco business. I would like to get a residency in a bar or hotel ideally at least 6 nights a week. The beauty is I can appreciate the sun during the day and work at night (I appreciate they can run til late but plenty of chance for a lie in).

As mentioned they are all pretty much well sorted with that and then you need a work permit which I doubt you would get.

If you get caught working without a permit then deportation and banning up to maybe 5 years so no more holidays
