Know this is
Icmeler forum but thought it worth saying if anyone has nothing better to do one evening it is well worth a visit to the old Tansas site in
Marmaris ,the fountains there are wonderful and at 10.15pm they start dancing to music The kids will go mad and the grownups will love it just as much. The fountains are on all the time but need to be seen in the dark and with the music if possible.

Would agree with you entirely. We took a dolmus (for our one and only visit) through to
Marmaris just to see the fountains. Stayed about an hour before returning to the Sanity of Icmeler. It's certainly worth seeing. The biggest laugh is seeing one side of the crowd evacuate when the big one goes off. Bit of a clue.... if the ground is wet. Don't stand there.
Not the best, but I'll post some pics

The water features along the Marina are worth a visit on an evening.
The million pound boats are nice to look at too!

The fountains are opposite the last stop of the
Icmeler dolmus, or 80yds from the 1st stop coming back.Rog.

They stand exactly where the old Tansas used to be. Looks amazing. We are sure to see them when we visit Castle Bar up in the old town.

Stand on the wateredge with your back to the statue, cross the road and go straight up the road, you cannot miss them, on your left across from the entrance to the Bazaar. Enjoy.

hi do the fountains only dance once a day, ie 10:15 or do they dance at other times

Hi Siverfox, does this mean that the Tansas on the left hand side that we walked up to from the statue where we get the bus back to
Icmeler is not there anymore?

Tansas no longer exists on it's original site. That's where the fountains now are. I can confirm that they are worth the effort of going to see them and they display to music about 10.15 at night.

The fountains are in action all day but although the colours are there it is not until 10.15pm that the music starts, dont know exactly how long it goes on for but at least an hour. This seems to be the new meeting place for the locals, the square is full of them at night.

Sorry, did not answer the qestion, Tanus has been demolished at the old site. It is now further on down the same road, on the right hand side. It is down a side street but you will see it from the main road.
