On Line Flight Check In

Hi everyone,

Only 3 sleeps til we come to Icmeler for the first time. So excited! Our flight is from Aberdeen on Monday night with Thomas Cook. Our holiday was booked through Travel Republic so I don't seem to be able to check-in online. Will this matter? Any advice would be great.

Also, when we arrive we would like to come to ICR and book some excursions. Where is the office located and is it easy to find? We're staying at the Senem Apts.

Travel Republic probably sent you their own confirmation but then should have sent you some flight documentation (all on-line). If you check the flight documentation you should have a Thomas Cook reference number. You should then be able to go to the Thomas Cook site, log in with your reference number and from there, check in.

As far as the ICR office is concerned - you should be able to locate the new Centrum and from there you will see the Tandoori Sizzler. The ICR office is by the Sizzler. Do you watch the web-cam? It's located at ICR.

What is the benefit of checking in for your flight on line? I have the option of doing this with TC, I think for the first time, and can't quite get my head around it. We still have to check in our cases and will probably have to queue to do this, so what is the point?

We have booked flight only with flythomascook,you can only checkin on line if you have paid extra to prebook your seats,we havnt,had a look on the plan of our aircraft the other evening at seats that were already taken,lots of seats left that havnt been prebooked !! we have never paid the extra and have always had seats together If we dont get seats together Im not too bothered because he always yaps to the other person next to him lol

Dawn did you pay for prebooked seats you can only checkin on line if you have ! anyway no problem checking in at the airport.

Dawn, just print off your conformation and e tickets. Take this with your passport and check in.
I'm flying out next thurs from Aberdeen, can't wait, this will be our 11th time to Icmeler.

Weetoony, we used Thomas cook last year and done then online checkin. We didn't have to queue to put our cases in at Glasgow, we had to go to terminal 2, go to the furthest away desk in the right hand corner and they just took our cases.

We are going with Jet2, and we have already checked in and got our boarding passes online, we just go to airport and they take the cases off us, dont have to wait and we got seats next to each other saves time, and i think its a great idea,and that was 10 days ago we done this and we dont go away till 11th June.

I'm with you weeyin. Mostly fly with Jet2, always pre-book seats and always opt for on-line check in.

Doesn't matter if you're a bit late getting to the airport as seats are assured. Check-in is quick and straightforward.

Well worth the extra money as it just makes everything so stress free.

personally i would just check in at the airport

Doh! I'm just not getting this I have my tickets, done the passport requirements and my seats are booked and if I turn up at GLA Terminal 2 having done an on line flight check in, do I go to a dedicated luggage check in then go to departures

I am flying with Jet2 from Glasgow on Monday and have been advised by travel agent, who has done all the necessary checking in etc, that I just go to Terminal2 Jet2 luggage drop off point and boarding letter with bar code will be scanned and then I am off to departure lounge. Hope it works like they say!! Roll on Monday

Thanks for all the replies! I phoned Travel Republic and they've forwarded our flight itinerary. I still wasn't able to check in online though so I checked the flythomascook FAQ page and it turns out online check-in isn't available from Aberdeen airport! Will just have to take in all our documentation and check in at the airport I think.
