My daughter and boyfriend have booked a week in June to celebrate the end of their first year at University, They have booked through
ICR for the Blue Rainbow for AI but hope to go out every other night (depending how much of their student loan they have left).
They have a one question, is there a dress code in the restaurant? as last time we went AI in 2001 to Cyprus gentlemen were required to wear long trousers.
I'm actually a bit jealous as I have nothing booked yet so my daughter will make her 10th visit to
Icmeler before me.

dksbbs, The dress code differs from one
hotel to the next. If you wear a light shirt and long trousers you cannot be wrong wherever you are, if you don't you may be asked to leave in some establishment. Most people, not all, make a little bit of an effort for the evening meal and dress tidily. Lunch times not so much, but my advice would be cover up bare skin on the torso when dining - thats male & female. I feel it's a matter of respect for fellow diners & those that are providing the service - it is a Muslim country after all.
I am sure they will have a great time

Hi Dave,
we have stayed at the Blue rainbow, I certainly dont remember there being a requirement forlong trousers for the men for evening wear, it is avery informal type of hotel, very relaxed, jus down to general common sense really, dont go for dinner in swimwear, etc.

marti la perla ai last year and i found the british wore long trousers but most of the russians wore shorts.but there was a sign outside telling you what you should wear

Thanks for the replies, I normaly wear tailored shorts in August because of the heat, I will recommend them to take both just in case.

I eat in a whole variety of places and always wear shorts and a decent top at night. I've always felt comfortable wherever I go and have never been refused service. I would just use my judgement and check out others who are dining in a place.
I find most places are relaxed with dress code of an evening and it's still extremely hot at night!!!
