Eda Hotel

Hi there,

Has anyone stayed in Eda Hotel and if so can you let me know the room facilities i.e. is there a fridge? Hairdryer? Kettle? available in the room?

stayed here in 2009
very basic small rooms
no fridge or hairdryer
but i guess you get what you pay for

Hi there,

Yes it does help. Will take my own hairdryer and kettle. Shame there is no fridge though... Like you say you get what you pay for and we paid next to nothing... so won't be complaining

make sure you dont get one of the rooms at the end of the corridor on the top floor as they seem to be smaller
we had friends staying there at the same time as us and their room was bigger
yeah it is a shame about the fridge even just to keep some juice and water cool

Okay - thanks for the tips. I will check on arrival what room we will be getting. There is two of us so we want a bit of space...

I guess they don't provide the fridge so you use their bar etc.. can't blame them. And like you say would have just been for water through the evening... and some ice cubes/ cola to go in the vodka you get me !! lol

My friend and I are staying at the Eda from 16th July for 2 weeks. Not stayed there before but from all the reviews most people have found it ok...but guess a holiday is what you make it.

This is a Review I did on the Hotel Eda last year.

Hotel Eda: Basic But Friendly Hotel Eda.

The Hotel is a basic family run bussines and by being guests at the Eda, Momma and PaPa, along with the rest of the staff accept you as part of their family and all try to make your stay a most enjoyable experience.

On arriveing at reception (open 24 hours) we were given a warm wellcome by the owner Engin and were asked if we needed a safe or AC, we had a safe and this cost was £10 per week the safe was situated in the lounge area,we declined the AC which was £5 a day on the advice of Engin who said we would not need the AC in May.
Our cases were then carried up to our room which was on the first floor by one of the staff.
The room was of the size you would expect from a Basic hotel.
The balcony was small but big enough for two people to enjoy a coffee and biscuits while admireing the views,some balconies do have restricted views due to the Ercan Han Hotel.
Our room was cleaned every day and bedding and towels changed every 3 days.
The hotel and pool area are kept spotlessly clean by the owner and staff.
Breakfast was at 8am to 9-30am and consisted of,boiled eggs,bread,cheese,cucumber,tomatoes,honey and jam as well as tea and coffee, English breakfasts could be had and cost 7tl.
Breakfast could be either taken in the restaurent area or by the pool.
The pool was of a decent size and had plenty of sunbeds and brollies and also had a pool bar.
The restaurent serves a lunch menu during the day and at night serves excellent set meals or you can order from the menu.
We ate twice in the evening and had one of the set menus costing 15tl,this consisted of Lentil soup,grilled chicken with mushroom sauce,chips and seasonal vegatables,followed by mummys cake.
A bottle of water was 1tl and a capuchino was 3tl.
A first class Sunday lunch is served and this costs 22tl.
The bar area was quiet lively at night provideing, music, tv and a pool table.

Overall we had a very good holiday and would use the hotel again.

We have also stayed at the Eda and would agree with what others have said. The family who run the hotel are lovely people (we also stayed with them at their previous hotel, the Esenkoy) and they will do anything they can to make your holiday a success.

Also stayed at the Eda and the rooms are basic but the hospitality of the family more than make up for this. Hotel Eda is in a good location , at the top of the canal more or less opposite the Florida restaurant.

yes i would agree with the bit about the family
they are actually all very nice people that make you feel very welcome
our room unfortunately did not have a balcony being on the top floor
the eda is right in the centre of town which is very close to all restaurants, bars and shops

I've stayed there twice and I wouldn't go back. Brilliant first visit, hence why we booked again, but the second visit was totally different. Not a nice experience at all. My review is here - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=14088

Im not one to give a bad review ever but the only tip I will give you is hide your money well. All our money got stolen from our locked room while we were at the pool. Not accusing staff or anybody inperticular but I wish someone would of pre warned me. The rooms are small and no fridge/hairdryer but if u get drinks full your sink up with cold water and put your drinks in it to keep them cool. On the plus size it's in a perfect location for everyt
hing right near the beach.

hey everyone, thanks for your hints and tips re Eda Hotel.

I've stayed in the Navy Hotel, Mersoy Exclusive and Mola Apartments previously, I just wanted something basic 'ish and very close to the beach and cheap! You do get what you pay for I know...

We paid £279 for 14 nights b&b including flights, transfers and accom.... so it really is a budget holiday.. but more cash for spending on trips this year! oh and leather handbags!

I thought the Mola Apartments were also very good value and lovely rooms, but just a bit too far from the main Icmeler beach and where everything is going on...

I'm really looking forward to my holiday now...
