Hi Guys!
Just returned yesterday morning from our 3rd visit to Icmeler. We stayed at the Siesta apartments which were ok. The pool was small but we knew that before we went.

I must say that I thought the staff there were a bit miserable and were only happy to change your money if you ate in their restaurant.

If you had a table booked they were happy to change your travellers cheque but on the days were you ate out they didn't have any money.
It was an ideal location for eating out & getting to the beach. The apartments were basic, some things were broken in the apartment, the air conditioning was rubbish, the bed was broken - my son scratched his leg on the staples hanging out the bed and the sink drain stunk to high heaven!
Most days we spent at the Blue Rainbow pool as it was a nice big pool in the sun all of the day and the bar staff were friendly.
We found
Icmeler to be very quiet this year - staff were blaming the World Cup. We ate out at different restaurants every night and found them all to be fantastic. The LoveBoat had to be my all time favourite though.
We went to Atlantis water park in
Marmaris (the day after the bombings - they were not going to spoil our hols!

) we printed off the 10% discount & got the free shuttle bus which was excellent. We had a real good laugh there - I would highly recommend it for all ages.
We ate out in Marmaris on 2 occasions, both at the Bella Vista Steak House in the Harbour. The food here was EXCELLENT!

- they had a puppy called Alex which entertained the kids (providing they ate their meal!)
Our departure from Gatwick was a nightmare. We literally snaked around the whole airport queuing to get through customs and passport control, by the time we got through we had about 45 mins to eat some dinner and then we were boarding. We had to wait on the plane for an hour for 60 passengers who were still making their way through security.
Dalaman airport has improved immensly to the previous years and everything went smoothly.
Overall our holiday was excellent and we will probably go back for a week in May next year but i think we are going to venture to Hisaronu for our main annual holiday next summer.
