Still going...just!

Hi all,

After a very stressful couple of days (like loads of other people) I've managed to get flights to Dalaman, albeit a short stop off in Istanbul first. Going 12th, returning 29th so don't mind the extra travelling time.

Won't tell you how much I paid (3 times more than I paid with Aegean!) - but it was worth seeing my girls smiling again. My best friend who was going on her first trip to Icmeler with her daughter on the same day is now delighted again that we are still going.

We go next Friday.should have been tomorrow. We paid more than double we had paid with Aegean and a week less but like you Brownie i couldn't let the kids down. It just isn't fair the way the tour operators cash in on hard working people

It will all be worth it though - we managed to re-book for Sept, £500 for two adults.

I wonder how long it will take the credit card people to get the money back to us? Does anyone know?

I think it only takes a couple of weeks to claim back through credit card reesy
We had to send a letter to give details and they said that it would take about 3 weeks after them recieving our letter for the money to go back into the account. I have heard some get it back within 2 weeks

We have managed to book new flights with Th**** C*** costing quite a bit more than our Aegean ones did, arriving a day earlier and a night flight home. Just glad we are still going to get there

I've rebooked my flights via Istanbul .So my grandchildren are all happy again. Going one day later just spoke to John from icr to give new details.He sounds like a real gentleman very helpful. And I have pestered him over the last few days. Thank you John .
