Can anyone tell me if the beds in the Mersoy (adults only hotel) are comfortable. This may seem a very strange request but my Husband has a back complaint and in the past we have had beds which are so hard we could be sleeping on the floor. We are not in the first flush of youth and a good nights sleep is a priority. lol

Sorry, I have no idea but are not bad backs supposed to have a hard bed? My sister suffers terribly with her back and has to have a hard bed for support. Its the hard pillows I have a problem with, most apartments/hotels pillows are hard and I have to have a nice soft pillow so I always take a little mini one of my own or I will wake up with head and neck ache. Not so easy for you to transport a mattress though!

Funnily enough, if you've got a bad back, a too-hard mattress can make it worse. You need one which is firm enough to give you enough support in the right places, but not too firm either.

I'm the opposite, I'm 6'2" and find the beds are OK, slightly on the firm side and but not hard, I always have a good nice sleep but that could be the Efes. However I have not stayed where you are staying but I would imagine you will be OK.

Should I comment on the squeeky bed??......no, maybe I'll leave that to someone else...I'd like to think of Colette as a friend

Funny you should say that, I take mine with me. I have a special blow up mattress (the type you see in hospitals) that I have to sleep on. To go on holiday its deflated, rolled up and placed inside the pump. Luckily it's not counted in my luggage allowance

so it's a case of 'pick up your bed and walk' or in my case 'pick up your bed and get on your scooter'
