I heard a rumour that the Blue Fox has closed down, can anyone confirm this ? It is opposite the 3 Bells and the Lion bar, we found the staff to be great and the food, including the HUGE breakfasts was really good, Hope the rumours arent true.

YES. THE ORIGINAL OWNER HAS FLED. THE STAFF ARE SCATTERED... ABIK IS WORKING AT THE WELCOME RESTAURANT...OPPOSITE 'NO NAME RESTAURANT'....AND THE COOK OF THE BLUE FOX IS WORKING AT THE 'HOLIDAY RESTAURANT' - NEAR ICMELER PTT (POST OFFICE)

Murat has fled? Fled where? And why? It was a successful restaurant and the team of workers all close. Do you know where the other staff are scattered?

I saw Abik last week and he said that there were bad feelings among the staff and the owner had brought him in to try to sort it out, but he couldnt do it, he also said the restaurant had been sold but it wasnt open last week and no signs of refurbishment

Abik is at the welcome restaurant. Ali the chef is at the Holiday restaurant. Murat did a dodgy deal (so we heard). Another lad that used to work at the Blue Fox is at the Romance Restaurant (opposite the Welcome Restaurant.

Sorry to hear about the Blue Fox they did a great breakfast in there.
Anyone know where Memhet is? he was rather taken by my 25 year old daughter used to follow her around, he was a very nice lad.
Thought we could look him up when we go back in Sept.

Stayed at the Avlu and on our last night spotted Murat working at Charleys Place (Used to be Corner restaurant owned by our friend Thyphoon). Murat had been back working there for 1 week. Missed our breakfasts at the blue fox and the friendliness of all the staff.

Where IS Charleys Place? For the life of me I can't seem to picture it.

Charleys place (think its Place) is on the same road as Tansas, nearly opposite the Avlu apartments and Madurno chicken.

Just arrived back from Icmeler last night and the depression has already set in! Prior to our visit we read that the blue fox had closed and were dissapointed as we loved the food there and the got on really well with the staff. When we arrived on the 2nd Sept we decided to throw on our icmeler attire and head to Florida restaurant where we found Feritt (Simon) working here from Blue Fox year! He then pointed us in the direction of the Jasmin hotel and restaurant where Murat, last years owner of Blue Fox is running. He has only had it for 2 weeks! In fact it took us less than an hour for us to find him!!! Good meals here, they do a special list with 2 meals for 17YTL, Bargain! Mehmet from The Blue Fox is also working here.

can u tell us where the jasmine hotel is ? cant place it. Thanks

The Jasmin is located just off the canal. Between the Dream Boys restaurant and Villa Kontes Restaurant, opposite The Private Hotel.

true. The Blue Fox is no more but Murat and his staff are still in Icmeler.Murat has now taken over the Jasmin Motel just off the canal near Dreamboys.Mehmet &Nicholas are also there and look forward to seeing all there old friends

Spent everymorning at the Jasmine to have breakfast.
Great to see my old friends Murat his brother Nicholas ( my toyboy ) and my special friend Memhet all from the Blue Fox.
Murat is now in partnership with an English guy called Mike and his partner Marion. Very nice couple.
The breakfasts are still the best and excellent value. I have just got back from a 2 week visit and i told Murat I would let everyone know where he is. As is stated the Jasmine is directly opposite the entrance to the Private Hotel Which is at the top end of the canal.
Murat bless him gave me a bottle of wine on my last day.

I agree with turkish Delight,massive english brekkie,and all for £1 ,We went back on a couple of occasions for our brekkie there.The 2 meal deal was fantastic value for money,2 for 17ytl,however,we had to wait,I would say,about 20 mins for our meal,and a few people were abit peeved.But,when the meal came,it was worth the wait,yummy,a lovely big gammon steak with egg and pineapple,veg,rice and chips.mmmmmmmm.Well worth a visit.

JUST BEEN READING ALL THE REVIEWS ABOUT THE BLUE FOX I HAVE JUST GOT BACK FROM A 2 WEEK HOLIDAY IN ICMELER AND WE HAVE KNOWN MURAT NICKY MEMET AND THE REST OF THE BOYS FOR A GOOD FEW YEARS NOW THE BLUE FOX IS NOW A SMALL CARPARK AND MURAT IS RUNNING ANOTHER RESTURANT CALLED THE JASMINE DOWN BY THE CANAL
HE HAD ONLY BEEN OPEN A MONTH AND THE BREAKFAST ARE TO DIE FOR .
WE ALSO HEARD THE RUMOURS THAT MURAT HAD DONE A DODGY DEAL BUT WE HAVE SPOKEN TO HIS NEW PARTNERS MIKE AND MARION AND THEY SAY ITS TOTALY WRONG.
THEY ARE A VERY NICE COUPLE AND WITH HELP OF MURAT WILL DO WELL WITH THE JASMINE.
MURAT AND ALL THE BOYS FROM THE BLUE FOX WERE KINDESS ITSELF TO ALL OUR FAMILY AND ESPECIALLY MOM AND DAD WHO ARE IN THERE LATE SEVENTIES
PLEASE IF YOU GO TO ICMELER GIVE THE JASMINE A TRY YOU WONT REGRET IT THE FOOD IS STILL GREAT .

Went to the jasmine for brekkie was very nice, went back for our tea as they did good old english food for my dad who can't each much bless him only to wait 30 mins for food, my mum n dad gave it another go another night to wait 45 mins for cold food!! Sorry wouldn't go back there

Also found out something in that resteraunt that I almost wish I hadn't about our year previous

Sorry won't EVER be returning to anywhere run by Murat and his staff

Having had wonderful times in the Blue Fox 2 years ago we will definately be calling in to see the guy's in 2 weeks time.
And going to see our good friend Abik (waiting for a text to say if he is still at Mr Chef in the Old Village)

Toony I thought the Blue fox was demolished as last year the owner and his staff were renting the Jasmine Bar
