Icmeler to Symi

I have friends staying on Symi (Greek Island) this summer. Does anybody know of any other way of getting from there to Icmeler without going through Rhodes? Seems a long cut for a short distance. Cheers.

Get the bus to Datca and get the ferry across from there.

Cheers John, Just felt having to go Symi to Rhodes, Rhodes to Marmaris was along slog.

Symi is a lovely island we went there a few years ago while staying in Rhodes we said we would like to go back but the thought of going via Rhodes is a bit to much as as you say it is only a stones throw from Turkey. Would I.C.R. travel concider putting a day trip together!

Seriously though it would be a nice day I think though maybe a long one and a little rushed.
