driving to turkey

Hi all
We are hoping to go back to icmeler late september early october and I quite fancy the idea of driving there.
Has anybody ever done it or considered it. Any input i.e routes, costs etc would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
I had a look at doing it and using the aa maps and route guide driving for ten hours a day with stops it was goning to take three days to get there
The route took you through France and northern Italy and down towards Turkey it was taking nearley a full days driving to cross Turkey. Depending on the price of petrol and how many miles to gallon your car will do the cost was about the same as a flight one way excluding ferry crossing from the UK
We booked a apartment and flights for less than it would cost to drive there and back
