Have just returned this morning from a fab 9 days in our favourite place in the world. Whilst there we tried to find this well recommended restaurant but had no joy. Think we must have gone down every sokak and cardessi in
Icmeler but we could not find it. From reading on the forum I thought it was opposite the Romance. We actually ended up eating at the Babadan restaurant and very nice it was too. Barbara

You were literally 2 minutes from the LAL.If you go up the street where Romance is, on the right side, continue walking for about 2 minutes and it is on the left.
Looks like you will have to go back again next year to try it. Reviews on LAL are a bit hit and miss, some love it some don't

Well if you traipse straight down from the Efendi, past the main square and carry on you will get to the Lal, which was open last Tuesday night.
However we traipsed there again on our last night and they had already shut for the winter, so never did get to eat there!
Never mind, went back to the Maestro, who I believe do the best Meze

Perhaps they had already closed when we were down there and that's why we did not see it. Quite a number of places were closed. The Lemon Tree was one of them. Bit disappointed as we liked it in there. Only ate in the Maestro once (even though we were staying at the Efendi). Since the staff have changed does not seem the same although, I must say, it was packed every night.

Lal's still open, according to the owner anyway, and you'd think he would know...

Well it was all lights out when we went there about 9pm!

Lal's open all year apparently.

All I can say is............please tell the owner to turn the lights on and open the gate..................gives the customer the idea that the place is actually open for business!

According to their Facebook page, the restaurant was going to close for a few days to make some changes in preparation for the winter season, and would be re-opening with a new winter menu! Sounds good to me!
