My Mom has recently come to live with me,she had a very bad fall two years ago and the result is the onset of Dementia
she is will be 99 next March, anyway she loves the Tomato soup from Turkey she's been once to
Icmeler when she was 87
question is can you buy it in this country or is there any kind hearted soul going to Icmeler who could bring a few packets back for me,normally I wouldn't ask but she keeps asking for it.What ever the cost I will pay just so she's happy.
If this is posted in the wrong place I'm sorry but remove if you have to.
Thank You for taking the time to read my post
Regards Wyn

I don't know if this will be any help to you, Wyn (and I hope it's ok to post the link) but there is a website:
www.turkishsupermarket.co.ukwhere you can buy a whole range of Turkish goods, and they seem to have quite a range of soups. Not sure if any of them are the one you're looking for, but it might be worth a try! We're not going back until October 14, but if you've not been able to get a hold of any by them, I'd be happy to try to get some for you (I've got a mum with dementia too!)

Hi Fin64
It says on the packet 1 litre but I put 750ml and let it boil slowly if it's to thick then I add more water till I get the right thickness

Ayran...what's that?
22 Sep 2010 20:00
Ayran is like a kind of yogurt drink - a bit of an acquired taste, but I quite like it
22 Sep 2010 20:10
Ayran

its nice but as blondie says you have to get used to the taste
its quite sour but the turks drink it with a lot of foods
especially spicy foods as it helps your mouth adjust

you cant buy it anywhere in the UK
xxxxxx

A Turkish friend told us that Ayran is one of the best things to drink when it's really hot, as it helps put back all the things your body loses when you're sweating!

Tried Ayran but not for me thanks
Wyn
