We had a great one in May at the Maestro situated at the Efendi hotel. It cost about £60.00.
Where do you guys recommend one for our second visit in just over two weeks?

Never actually tried the fish in salt myself, but a few people have recommended the Titanic. We had the leg of lamb there, which was absolutely delicious, and a couple at the next table were having the fish in salt, and it did look very good indeed.

We had fish last year here and it was nice, but like you prefer the lamb

Yes just checked with Hubbie...it was 60 quid. I didn't actually taste it as I was blocked up that day, I couldn't taste a thing but he said it was lovely, which is why I want to have another go

The lamb at the Maestro was cheaper at about £45?

That seems expensive too - I'm sure we haven't paid anywhere near that when we've had the leg of lamb, and we've had it in several places now.

The prices for the Fish in Salt being quoted here seem very expensive to me, I usually pay about the same price as a good steak, which in May was about 26TL.

i have no idea how much the loveboat fish in salt costs but i dont think its as much as 150tl because i know the lobsters cost about that amount

We had fish in salt for 3 people at the Loveboat and it was gorgeous. We had to order the day before but ask the price before you order - we had a bit of a shock when the bill came

How much did you pay shastie? I honestly thought we paid the going rate. I remember seeing it at about 145 TL on the Maestro menu.
It was so pricy that I paid for the meal on my card, we concidered it a real treat. We had it there instead of somewhere else because we were having 15% off as we were staying at the Efendi.

The fish cost £45 each. That was double what we expected.

I cant believe that price wow.
I just left Vinces restaurant and made a point of checking the price and it was 75 lira for two people

We had the fish in salt last year at Vinces and it was the best we have ever had and the cheapest

I know you don't eat the salt, but surely all that salt isn't good for you ? Some of it must seep through to the fish ?
