I can't understand why everyone who goes indy wouldn't do this. The charge is so small compared to the hassle of having something go wrong, is to me, priceless. But the company do say scheduled flights not charter flights which the majority are nor tour operators, so maybe maybe not.

It doesn't seem to cover much and I don't think it would have helped in the goldtrail collapse, not sure you would be covered.

Taken from there website:
You are not covered for the following:
The insolvency of the Travel Agent, Tour Operator, the booking agent (unless listed) or consolidator. It is therefore your commercial decision to book with them and thus your responsibility.

Hi Dave,
If you have ordered a flight off Thomsons website they are the agent acting on behalf of the airline - if then Thomsons, or the airline running the chartered flight, go pop - I don't think they'll pay up.

I might be reading it wromg though!

i believe its a thomson flight through thomson direct so when i phoned them up its defo covered. but i would only pay for this cover if flight is not covered by atol. also for £20 for 4 people its well worth it.
