New Turkish Restaurent

19 May 2010 19:07

I have heard that a new Turkish restaurant has opened in Icmeler.
Over the years Icmeler has been short on traditional Turkish food but a new traditional Ottoman Restaurant has opened close to the main road turning towards the old village at the corner of ÝS Bankasý and Azra Jewellery not far from the Babadan Apartments.
The restaurant is called "LAL Restaurant" and offers a superb variety of Turkish dishes in a truly Turkish atmosphere with low seating and tables .
Lovely background music is by a live Turkish singer who plays the guitar and sings Turkish songs.
The restaurant is also open for true Turkish breakfasts an experience that everyone should try.

All homemade mezes a variety of over 40 kinds are presented at the table on a traditional Turkish tin plate all freshly made.

I havent tried it yet but for all those people that are looking for "The Turkish Experience"this may be just the place.

I'm already looking forward to trying this place - sounds lovely! Just my kind of place...and hopefully, in just over a week's time, I'll be sampling it for myself!

This place sounds ideal, and just a stone's throw from us too. I agree with the previous post, there should be more authentic turkish restaurants around as the real turkish food is delicious.
We will definitely be calling in to sample their wares, in about four weeks.

Thats great news, I too love to be in a typical Turkish place rather than British based places offering fish, chips and mushy peas etc. Not knocking fish, chips and mushy peas, but I can get that at home anytime.

My feelings too - when I'm on holiday abroad, I want to eat the local food, not what I can have at home. I'm really looking forward to trying this place.

Hello
There in 3 weeks and i must try a real Turkish dish, Can i get some ideas on what to try as a genuine Turkish

The turkish Meze which is a selection of food served as an appetizer is a must.

Lahmacun is like a pizza consisting of a round, thin piece of dough topped with minced meat - usually beef or lamb and is often served sprinkled with lemon juice and wrapped around vegetables - gorgeous! :D
