hiya all,
the reason to my title is this, last year 'THE WIFE' said we will try somewhere different next year!!!!!!! (been icmeler for the last 7 years) 'ok' i said pick somewhere, to which she replied olu deniz, i knew she would say that as we have looked before, but never booked it. so off we went and booked, not thinking ahead................... but now i find myself coming onto the forum every day reading all your reports and thinking to myself 'WHAT THE HELL HAVE WE DONE'. i feel like im going to miss something, sat 4 hours drive away in olu deniz, wondering to myself whats happening in icmeler!!! i sure olu deniz is a nice place but i think i would rather be in icmeler having the time of my life with the friends i have made over the years.................oh well will just have to grin and bear it.
i may have an opportunity later in the season, hope it comes off.

anyway moral of the story................ dont listen to 'THE WIFE'........ sorry ladies.

Oh Wayne I am sure you will enjoy it. Yes I agree I don't think you can find anywhere as nice and friendly as Icmeler but just think of all the new friends you will meet there. You will have an excuse to go to two places then!

I must admit I was looking at going to Olu Deniz heard it is really nice, but booked to go back to Icmeler

Whatever you will have a great holiday and no doubt will be hearing a report from you when you get back. When are you going?

Mary is right what she says you will probably enjoy it more than you think. You will be coming on this forum in 10 weeks saying what a great time you have had and not able to decide where to go on your next holiday. You will look back and laugh no doubt. Whatever have a great time.

I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time, after all you're still going to a good resort in Turkey. It could be worse. Last October I was talked into going to Salou with family when I really wanted to go to Icmeler. I couldn't wait to come home.

I'm sure it will be fine Wayne, you make even more friends in Olu Deniz. We met a couple last year who booked a week in Icmeler and then went to Olu Deniz for the second week!! You'll have a fab time!

Sorry to hear that, but like you said, you might get a chance later on in the year and at least you can say you've been somewhere else and tried it I'm lucky enough to have tried most places in turkey before I tried icmeler so I know what its like and what I'm not missing in those places hehe. you never know you might like it, its still a holiday make the most of it

We've been twice to Olu Deniz, absolutely loved it, but then said 'we should try somewhere different' and went to Icmeler. We've been there 4 times now, and going back in two weeks (cant wait!).
However I still have such a hankering to go back to Olu Deniz, equally friendly, in fact much smaller so you cant help but get to know lots of people. You'll have great time.

thanks for your comments, i sure i will enjoy it, after all its paid for and i not one for paying for something then not enjoying it.
as for going to icmeler for a night or two, i dont think i could do that, i think i would go AWOL, you would see finger nail marks in the road where they have tried to get me back
so on the strength of my disappointment this year, i've just booked the hotel for next year, now awaiting flights to be announced, in ICMELER of course................. sod what the wife says she has two choices.......... one is she comes the other is............ well do i need to explain
