what is it about icmeler

what is it about icmeler that gets us so excited about our holidays iam away on 30th june and i cant contain myself at the moment i log on every day and check all the new posts and its almost a case of ive been there and no the answer to that question
i just found the members picture gallery and did reconise some of the people and pictures especialy sick phil
anyway to close my post ive only been three times to icmeler and love it but im so jealous of the members that have been 10-12 times i want to be one of them, i fully intend to be a member loging on in ten years saying ive been 13 times why have i been bitten by the icmeler bug to such a huge extent , i hold on to every weather forcast by za za and leon why why why

I went for the first time last year and am lucky enough to be going back again in August. I think for me first and foremost it would have to be the people who work in the resort, then the scenery all around Icemeler. The tranquility of the whole place is so lovely when I'm sitting on my balcony looking over on to the hills it seems very peaceful and I feel content. I could even tell you the actual moment I fell in love with Icmeler. It was about our 4th night and we were sitting in the Pyramid bar and restaurant, my friend said look at the moon, which was nearly full, and we watched it very slowly dropping behind the hills. The song that was playing was the one from the film Titanic, you know the one 'my heart will go on' (soppy I know) and we just started crying like a couple of big jessies. Wonderful ! I can't wait to go back

The reason we go back is my wife is trying to buy up all the jewelery in Icmeler, she hasn't managed it yet but she's had a bloody good try lol.
seriously, we love the place, as mentioned before it is the people who make the town so pleasant to visit, scenery, peacefullness and the food is to die for.
We go again on Monday, so will tell you all about it when we get back, that should be IF we get back

Well we have only been once in 06 but after no holiday at all last year the whole family decided with no arguments we all wanted to go back to Icmeler. For years we have done all the greek Islands, Spain etc etc but nowhere comes close to the friendliness, fun, and warmth of the Turkish people in Icmeler. I cant see us going anywhere else. Roll on July!!!

Same here, I think it's the people, much trouble for them. The service is second to none, and you just don't get that kind of service anywhere else. They even go to the shop for your cigarettes if you run short, you wouldn't get that in spain. They are all so welcoming.

The views, I remember my first day there, waking up and going to my balcony in Grand Aqaurium and looking at the mountains feeling the warmth of the sun, and thinking this is the life.

Its definitely the people that make it for me too.

I used to be a huge Marmaris fan, I still love Marmaris, again the people there are fantastic.

The 1 thing that attracted me to Icmeler rather than Marmaris was the views and the fact that its so compact.
