Coming back to Icmeler

Postby sarahnsteve » 02 Aug 2007 19:52

Well we have finally done it, we arrive in Icmeler again on the 14th August and I can't wait. Been staying in Olu Deniz for the past ten years. Just find this forum so I thought we would say hi.

I wonder if the place has changed much.

Any good bars or info would be useful. Husband football mad, wife shopping freak and daughter 15 going on twenty.

We are staying at the Eden Gardens, old village I think, anybody been.

Well - you've made the right choice in Icmeler. Loads of large screens so you won't be starved of football. Some waiters - depending on where yo stay - play at night after they've finished work. Could be your first international match!

Shopping - you won't see the wife much. There's a weekly market - one in Marmaris too on a different day. There's also an indoor market under the Bellamare hotel. Designer shops in Marmaris, fake designer stuff in markets and most shops. Nic nacs - anything you want you can find. Is she into shoes and handbags? If so, I'd take little with you as you'll need loads of space to bring back her bargains.

daughter - well shopping of course. All types of music, nail parlours, hairdressers for pampering. entertainment is fine for all ages - better and broader than Olu Deniz and knocks spots off Hisonaru.

Get packing - and enjoy.

Hi

We stayed at The Eden for a week in 2005. Really nice apts, and we were able to use the facilities of the Grand Aquarium next door too. Mario, his wife and Son run Eden and do a great job. Very welcoming and do great pancakes! Only about 15 apts so there are plenty of sun beds and the pool gets the sun most of the day. You will have a nice time!
