1st review just got back....

Postby nuggs » 07 Jul 2007 16:17

firstly......gutted im back home lol..anyway 1st time in icmeler and family was really looking forward to it, so we head to manchester airport upon arrival we were delayed for 4 hrs which started my wife panicing as to why was we delayed but the plane was in!!we were told there was a problem with the engine(didnt go down well with wife lol)then after 3 hours we had to evacuate the airport due to a fire alarm going of,"thats it my wife said im off home its not meant to be" lol i reassured her everything was gonna be ok...im a bloke all i was thinking about was how much money we would of lost if we about turned lol.
so 4 hours later were off on our way flight was great.
upon arriving we boarded a coach to icmeler and headed for sun apartments,we got there around 4 in the morning totally knackered.
the apartments were ok basic but with aircon.
when we got up we met the owner (jonny raki) romeo (bar tender) mehmet(bar tender)and little mehmet (jonny rakis son) who were fantastic people to talk to and we were made very welcome.
icmeler itself is a beautiful place we understand now why people on here love it so much its wonderfull we ate in wonderboys, venice, love boat, majestic all fantastic and the entertainment was great and also very funny god those boys can dance lol, although my son (3) is now running around the living room with a glass on his head!we had the turkish bath wow and wot a bath it was guys im letting you know now to leave your dignity at the door becouse you get rubbed down by men who sing to you while soaping you up and throwing you around the warm slam when you have finished pick up your dignity as you leave and have a strong raki lol.
on our 2nd day at the apartments we met colinuk1 and joyce (wythenshaw massive) both great people we had a great laugh i lost count the amount of people who who were thrown in the pool even the rep who was selling excusions to new arrivals got thrown in very funny nice one colin!!although you did upset 1 person who went to bed lol...
it was my wifes birthday while we was there and colin joyce and the lads who worked there were wot can i say brilliant, firstly we went out for a meal, colin can speak alot of turkish and was giving me turkish lessons like thank you, hello, can i have the bill please etc....so i tried them on a waiter although he laughed and looked at me puzzled and embarrassed
i later found out that i had told him i loved him...and was he gay!!! talk about embarrassed i couldnt belive it the one thing i wanted to know was why would colinuk1 know wot gay was in turkish!!!!anyway after the meal we went back to the apartment where as soon as we got they everyone sang happybirthday to louise and romeo brought out this birthday cake and candles i could see a tear in louises eyes very touching and then there was a belly dancer, sorry colin mate you have the belly but you carnt dance lol followed by breakdancers and a party although there wasnt many people there it was still a great laugh, thank you guys it was great.
jonny (raki) the owner has to be the most laid back manager there is wot a guy i spent 1 or 2 nights with him drinking raki and putting the world to rights...im gonna leave it there i could go on forever and bore you more but i wont overall a great holiday the only regret i had was it should of been 2 weeks instead of 1 o well we gonna try and go back at the end of august fingers crossed......
ps colin i should of bought those shoes now gutted lol... see ya

Another great review - and it sounds as if you definately had a great time. Glad you enjoyed even after the wee delay at the airport!

Hope you manage to get back in August, it is a great place!

You can sense the enjoyment you had on holiday in your writing.
One week is not enough, one month is not enough.
Making friends is part of the holiday experience and it sounds as though you found some in colinuk1 and his wife.
Thanks for the report noggs.

I always said that all the members on this forum our part of our family.
Well in kazz1s case its must be true as she has her brother and daughter as members of the site.

How many of you have members of your family signed on and who owns the record for the amount of family being ICR members?.
