Tuncay Apartments Icmeler

Postby tinsle » 14 Jun 2007 19:19

Hello everyone,

I am just wondering if anyone can give me some feedback on the Tuncay apartments in Icmeler??

This will be myself and my families first time to the resort as we normally go to Bodrum.

I would be most grateful for any hints or tips regarding the resort.

Hope to hear from you all very soon :)

My sons stayed there last May and my Mum and Dad will be staying there in October this year. They are lovely apartments and Mustfa and his family are very friendly. The pool area is nice although not large. I would recommend them to anyone.

If you are staying there pop in to Mr Chef and say hello to me!

hi Tinsle... we stayed at the Tuncay apts last year and are going back in 8 wks... :) The previous 2 years we had stayed in main Icmeler town.. pretty central... but last year decided to give the old village a try...
We much preferred it.. needless to say why we've booked to go back again this year...
Apts are nice... basic.. but v.clean... Mustafa and his family are lovely... and you will be treated well from day 1....
Takes about 10 minutes to walk down into the centre.... 15 mins if you stroll.... but it's nice to walk down in the evening... then nice to walk off your meal going back later on.... but after stayin there last year we found some really nice restaurants up in the old village and reckon we'll probably do more of those this year.... Prob just go into centre every other night or 2 nights.... you get used to the peace up there....
We have 4 teenagers coming with us.... age range 15 - 17 and even they prefer it in old village.... they didn't think they would... but they did!
One fab thing about the holiday... because there's only 8 apts.... and 1 is occupied by Mustafa ... so call it 7.... you never have to get up abit earlier to get a sunbed... there's one available whatever time you get up..... and believe you me... there's not alot of places you can go to where you can do that :)
I have a few piccies round and about the apts from last year... so if you want to see any pm me.... also if you have any other ??
Don't worry about it ... you'll love it there.... you'll feel like you are in Turkey more than you would in the centre....
Gail...

Tinsle we were all firstimers once when booking DIY.
The Tuncay are lovely apartments in a Tranquol setting yet only a couple of minutes to loads of bars and restaurents in the Old Village.
Pop accross the road to the Rhodes for a change and sample the pool there, its the sister to the Tuncay.

I always carry the contact number of my transfare and apartments just in case, but never had a problem in umpteen years of travelling.
