Goldtrail...

Postby ScottishGuy » 19 Apr 2007 00:00

Had our flight booked up now for over a month. Booked through Airflights (who in all honesty have been as helpful as possible). However, Airflights called me at the start of the week saying Goldtrail have cancelled our outbound flight. They did give us the option however of moving our flight to a later one on the same day, but going to Bodrum instead of Dalaman with a free transfer.

They say we cannot cancel our booking as it is not a Major change that has been made, and a major change is only classed as anything which adds more than 3 hours to the journey.

However, our car transfer that we were originally using from Dalaman would take roughly an hour, and a journey from Bodrum will take around 3 hours + waiting on passengers boarding the coach + any stops that the coach makes to drop other passengers off.

Does anyone have any suggestions or pointers in where I can go now, or do I have to take their alternative as the only option??

Bearing in mind, I have seen another flight (also an Onur Air flight, which I believe will also be through Goldtrail) for a total of £104 each leaving from Newcastle instead of Glasgow - which wouldn't be as much hassle for us.

Surely a transfer of details would be feesable to save us an inconvenience?!?

Ignore them as it is a major change.

Not all Onur flights are from Goldtrail

Hi Scottishguy
Its a pain, however, I think you may have to accept their change.
Below is Goldtrails small print.
"We reserve the right to amend a flight to become non-direct should it be deemed necessary to do so or alter the airline or aircraft type operating your flight. These are not major changes"
I would contact them and ask that you are given a private transfer which shouldn't take much longer from Bodrum but at least that way you would still be flying from Glasgow.
Good Luck and keep us informed.

I agree, to cancel your return flight is a MAJOR change.

Thats terrible messing you around but now youve got me worried. I fly out from Glasgow on 20 May with Goldtrail. I phoned tham last week and they advised there had been aslight change to our flight. We are now flying out 2 hours easrlier which is no great hassle.

What flights have Goldtrail cancelled for you

Hi Stewart,

This is the 1st flight they have cancelled for us. We go out on the 29th April for one week. Flight number OHY436. We have accepted the change to Bodrum, now awaiting their reply to confirm the free transfer - but they're taking their time about it!!

Also, I notice the new flight number for our outbound flight that's going to Bodrum is the same as our initial flight number. Anyone else think this is odd??

Hi scotsguy

I wouldn't bother about the change of flight it happened to us last year, it didn't seem to make that much difference in time perhaps 30 mins tops, and if its free well

Very pleased I read this thread, just called Goldtrail, just to be safe. Flying 15th May, was flying at 8pm, now discover i am flying at 11am, looks like im going to have to take a day off unpaid. Coming back we were flying in the afternoon, now flying at 7.45am, can't believe it. And they never even told us, had i not seen this I wouldnt have known till the tickets arrive!

Lisa.

Unfortunately Goldtrail do this quite often with their customers. I spoke with them last week as I am due to fly out in 4 weeks and there was a slight change, for the better.
If they change your flights by more than 12 hours this is classed as a major change and you will have the right to cancel

I think this is right next to the square where the ATM's are. Not far from Harry's steakhouse and ICR office.

Hi there, just wondering if my flight will be affected, as I have the flight number OHY436, flying from glasgow, meant to be going to Dalaman, but this is not until 30 September. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kerry

I popped in to my agents to pay the remainder of my flight and asked about the changes that were mentioned on here, and they told me this had never happened and that they assure me that if it happens to me I will get a full refund, and I now have this is writing, because I caused such a fuss. Clearly they are lying regarding it NEVER happening, so lets hope they are lying that it wont happen to me..... then I can re-book for another holiday

Goldtrail

Postby archieb » 02 Jul 2007 10:14

Hi all,

We have had a flight change for flying out this Thursday 05.07 but it is only three hours earlier on the way out and back I think - not much change. It seems to be a bit of a trend with this company, but because of the price it is always a chance you have to take.

8) 8) 8)

:D :D :D
