you cant beat icmeler

Postby debbief1986 » 22 Jan 2007 18:12

hello everyone,
I have just returned from three weeks in Istanbul it is a lovely place in its very own way but it does not even compare a little bit to Icmeler.
When you arrive in Icmeler everyone makes you feel very welcome but in Istanbul i felt as if everyone was in there own little world.
It was great visiting places like the sultanahmet and all the other cultural sites as it was nice to do something different and see how different people live in the same country etc.
Icmeler is the top of my list and its where i feel at home.

(p.s. sorry if i have bored you lot rambling on)

I have never been to Istanbul but would imagine that it will be like most major cities all hustle and bustle. Icmeler by way of contrast is very obviously smaller and certainly much more laid back
Even comparing Icmeler to its much larger neighbour Marmaris, I find generally Marmaris to be too busy for my own liking, must be my age.
