Turks went to the polls at weekend and have voted the government in with a majority.
Probably as a result of this the currency has started to improve against the £. Think it was around 4.25/4.30 before the election, some UK currency places now only giving just above 4 lira to £ some even less than 4 lira to £.
Is this the shape of things to come?

I think it will be good for the average Turkish person but the jewellers and high price shops who always charge in sterling will begin to feel the pinch as they will not gain by doing so and never dropped their exchange rate to suit when they were high, They all sounded sweet but they knew that they were taking advantage of a weak exchange rate and misguided loyalty from their customers.
