Recommendations needed

Postby richards182 » 29 Jun 2014 10:30

Hi all,

I've been browsing the forums and have picked up loads of great hints and tips for having a fantastic stay in icmeler.

I have never been to Turkey before but the wife has been approx 8-9 years ago.

We have two boys aged 6 and 4 and I was looking to try to get some tips as to good things to see and do and some good restaurants to visit.

We are staying in the moonlight apartments in late July and would love to be able to have an idea of the best places to go.

Thank you in advance for your help

Hi

Check out the link below it will give you an idea of what excursion there are.
Then can be booked on-line via the link or by calling in to the office in the Town center when you are in the resort

Hi Richards182,
Take a look at https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8 ... dg=feature if you scroll down the left you will find the Moonlight Apartments, unfortunately people move the the "flags" but the Moonlight are almost in the right position. this will give you a Icmeler layout... Going from Moonlight to the beach Via Turgut Reis Cd/75 Yil Cd. (Street Name) you will pass a few bar/restaurants Sidik's, Wembley bar, Love Star, Cadde (New Miami Bar), Robin Hood, 3/4 Bells, Nefis Pide and Hanaden plus a few others..cross a main road and continue to the main square, The Icr office is just off this. If you carry on you will pass the Prince, I believe they have Toys/play area, you will find small play areas around the village, and I think there is one opposite the Moonlight, but i'm not sure.
Enjoy Steve

My two children are a similar age toy yours and there's always loads to do in resort.
The Turks are really good with kids and spoil them rotten with attention.
A place we went to last year was called lion bar (I think) and was in the centre going down towards the beach on the right.
Was a great place.massive inflatables and slides, swings the lot.
Another place that was good was icmeler bar(again,I think) which had crazy golf and a play area.this was near love star going toward the old town and wembley bar.
Hope you and the family enjoy the holiday.sure you will

The Moonlight apartments are a fantastic place to stay, if you get stuck on anything ask Bobby he will put you right. He is great with kids as well. 4 years on trot we have been going to Moonlight, unfortunately not this year, and even now the kids love it there more than anywhere else we have been. It is not far to walk into town, out of moonlight turn right then left and follow the road straight down. A good place for a breakfast is Wembley bar which is just round the corner from Moonlight....out of Moonlight, turn right then left and you will see it. There is also Sidiks on that block which is a lovely restaurant and the cake shop on the corner are fab. I am sure you will enjoy every moment spent in Icmeler. The Akyaka trip, jeep safari, mud baths and water park are highly recommended

As JayJay says the Moonlight Apartments are good and I am sure you will have a great time, I presume you have booked with ThomasCook, DO NOT buy the trips from the Rep, get yourselve down to the ICR office and book there, you will pay a lot less for the same trips.

Hi all
We are travelling to Icmeler next week for the first time in a couple of years. When we were last there we frequented the Tin Tin bar quite often. the staff there were really good. Is it still there and is it still as good?
