Whilst in icmeler in August we had the pleasure of visting some lovely places with friends who actually live in icmeler. We went to a place called Asparen its about 30 min drive from icmeler and it is up in the mountains set amongst lovely surroundings. Its a restaurant set in lovely gardens and water features and ponds. They have like japanesse style out houses seating is hugh cushions. We went for a tradional Turkish Breakfast which was very reasonable approx £4.00.It was hugh it was more of a banquet served with this lovely fresh baked bread(like giant size oven bottoms)we spent the morning just eating and drinking turkish tea and coffee in this beautiful place. If anyone gets the chance to go i would highly recommend it.(a lovely experience)

Went to the Asparan last year. Spent a good couple of hours there one afternoon, very refreshing after spending most of the time on the beach. Food was great and the waiter at the time was Eugene who worked in the Golmar Hotel about 8 years ago. The restaurant is owned by one of the family from the Golmar. We were taken form the Golmar in a minibus- it was a wonderful trip. There are animals for the children to look at and a playground for them too (must admit some of us larger children had a play on it too). I would highly recommend it too ,especially for a change, we went during the day and had a wonderful time.
