Las Vegas Trip Daily Reports

Ok it's not a boat trip but we are going to Vegas............Waheeeeeeeeey.

At the moment in Manchester airport relaxing with a few drinks and Chubs's meat barmcakes

Plane is here ready to take us to our wonderland in the USA but we are not ready yet as there are still another 8 minatures to go before we leave.






Next stop Chicago in a few hours........well 8 hours

Well its only 22:41 on Sunday night (weird time difference eh) and it is now 06:41 Monday morning in the UK and Chubs and Vicky have gone to bed and Sharon is well away but I am fighting it because I know if I sleep now I will wake up in a few hours and I wont get my clock going right.

Had 2 good flights thanks to American Airlines and staff very courteous as usual.

We just made 1 drink each at Chicago before we boarded the second flight onto Vegas and we flew over the Platt river and the Missippi (did I spell that righ) saw Colorado and then the Rockies and a bit of the Grand Canyon and Zion national park before we landed in Vegas.

We have had a few drinks of course and also a bit of a gamble but no green stool yet Rami

We have had a few wins with the best being me on wheel of fortune at Bills Gambling Saloon and clearing just over $100 on a spin.

We have had a few drinks, eaten a steak meal and bought a few beers and water for the room and I am actually up on the evening so all good news for now.

I will end with a few photo's from the day but the flight was very bumpy so may not look too good.

Monday morning here, 0800 am.
Had a good nights sleep, should have the body clock sorted now!

John and me should not have shown large(vicky) how to work the slots as shes addicted now, thats her breakfast gone on 5c slots.

John and Sharon have just arrived for us to go down for brekkie, john has bags under his eyes the size of the large ones at Lidl.

next update will be this evening, probably when i'm bankrupt!

Will post photos later, the belagio fountains, paris eiffel tower and large at the buffet, how unusual!

please keep in touch you lot and send us any requests, especially ones i can make john do.

..................Quick morning report..........quick morning report.........

Woke up early again, not sure if the body clocks are in sync yet.

We all had a hard day yesterday due to Mr Toohey making us walk for thousands of miles, we've all lost an inch off the bottom of our shoes.

I have just had the itinary sent down from JT and it looks like we're all gonna need roller boots to travel the distances he wants, large is going to come back slim.......not!

We're keeping off the drink today, which is a bit frightening as the locals scare me when i've had a bevvie, so being sober could be a horrendous experience.

First video footage getting shot today, more photos and hopefully i'll get to smoke my special cigar when i get that big win.

Woke up this morning and posted a few pics then heard sirens outside and realised that some poor bloke had fell 50ft to his death from the construction of one of the new hotels here

Last night we ventured to Freemont street and watched th light show.

Its a nice change from being on the strip but I can't stay in each casino long as they are very smokey and the smell reminds me of that musty smell you used to get in the old Butlins days.

We had a few drinks and a gamble in each one as we are collecting the cash out tickets from as many casino's as we can.

I went looking for a Blazing 7's machine and found one near to the Grotto restaurant in the Golden Nugget and played $1 maximum and hit mixed 7's for $200 and a few other small wins but cashed out on $200.

Made our way back to the strip and settled into Bills Gambling Saloon where I plonkled myself on the tables and Sharon, Vicky and Chubbs played the slots.

I collected a few black chips $100 each and we ended the evening/morning very tired after lots of free Jack Daniels at Bills and walked back to the Planet |Hollywood where we are staying until Friday morning.

The Planet has been done up nice but the slots are the tightest anywhere in Vegas and we have yet to have more than 1 drink off a cocktail waitress.

It will be nice to move down to Caesars Palace and then Sharon can go and do her shopping thing in the malls while we carry the bags.

I have just give Chubbs a call to see if they are ready for breakfast and he has informed me that he now has stumps where his feet used to be and cannot walk any more.

We are going to eat brekkie at Ballys hotel then onto the monorail to Sahara where Chubbs will ride the big dipper (hopefully) Vicky will eat and Sharon will play poker slots and smoke her head off.

There is a bit of a pattern appearing here and that is we have won at EVERY casino we have been in and had great drinks service in all of them except the one we are actually staying in for the first 5 days so...

Planet Hollywood is RUBBISH

Ok it looks new and smells new but the service is crap and the time share people are annoying (well they were until we actually spoke about it to them) funnily enough they now see us coming and look the other way

Off to eat the crabs legs and other stuff for dinner then down to the Orleans maybe.

Tomorrow its off to Osheas to visit the Leprechaun (Vicky a Leprechaun is not a lizard but a very small man dressed all in green)

Yes i agree with John, a leprechaun is a small irish man, not a lizard that crawls into your bed at night, as vicky thinks.

Jack Daniels should be made president of the world in my opinion, but not at the Planet Holywood, do they know what alcohol is?

Just getting dolled up now, to go out, the ladies here are lovely, as i'm sure Mr Toohey will agree, LOOK, but dont Touch, that is a poor motto in my opinion.

I will endevour to post a report in the morning(here) but as you will fully understand, i am a little busy with my best mate, Jack!

Last night we ate at the Spice Market buffet at the Planet Holywood and what a selection they have but its a pity that we just didn't have enough room to taste a bit of everything.

Me and Chubbs headed over to the seafood section first where we started to demolish the tray of Alaskan king crab legs and amongst other things we took oysters, mussels, king prawns, crab stuffed sole and sushi.

After our starters we then headed off to the prime rib station where we each were carved a thick steak from the joint but mine was that rare that the plate was swimming in blood so was left on the plate.

Then off to the Eastern section where we sampled the lamb skewers and stuffed tomatoes but then this is where me Sharon Chubbs and Vicky then went onto other things as with the few bottles of Corona that swilled it down me and Sharon where stuffed.

Chubbs and Vicky then headed to the sweet section and came back with all kinds of cakes and desserts which looked fantastic and its just a shame that we had no room for it.

After the buffet we headed to the Orleans hotel where we had a bit of a gamble on the slots which were not forthcoming so we then jumped the shuttle to Bills on the strip where I played 3 card poker and the others played the slots.

The tables were not good to me tonight and after being a few $100 down decided to take them over to Caesars where Chubbs and Vicky at once pronounced that this was by far the best place they have seen yet for looks, atmosphere and of course the free drinks which after a little chat to the cocktail waitress flowed freely.

From here around 2am it was a walk back to the Planet Hollywood and bed.

We are off for breakfast soon then away to visit the little people and of course we will have photo's
