He has been at the Ida (next to the Bonjour in the main square) for the past couple of seasons, but not sure if that will still be the case this year.

Just read on Facebook that Zaza will be at the Canary this year & it's going to be relaunched as Canary Bistro Bar

Is the canary bar the one at the top end of the canal, same side as Venice. If so seems a strange choice for Zaza. Anytime we pass this it is very quiet and looks to be a "young persons " bar

Yes, that's the one, smc - used to be the Korsan before that. From FB posts, I see it is going to be the Canary Bar and Bistro, so maybe they are going to be targeting a different type of customer from now on.

I know Zaza would make a great front of house man, just seems a strange choice for him. Dont think the place has any regulars as such, people who would go there year after year. maybe Zaza is the man to change all that

Thanks for the update on Zaza, I will be sure to take a visit there if he is working there. I wonder how Ida will do without him?

Yes folks it is true.I spoke to Zaza several times this week.He says he has a number of offers for work this summer. One of which is the Canary bar. He did mention trying to get the swimming pool back into use.Nice pool area we used it all the time at the Korsan.See what the next few weeks bring As for the Ida,that was the only place open in town. They were taking paying guests and the pool area was open to all as we spent two glorious days in the sun there..

Sami, it's just at the start of the canal on the left hand side - used to be the Korsan. Almost opposite the Bamboo.
