Hi Mandy, we went to Rhodes a couple of years ago.cant remember how much, but wasn't expensive.you leave at 9.00am and return at 5.00 pm.it takes about an hour to get there. Then you can walk into Rhodes town from the port.we had a really good time.P.S don't forget your passport :D

We did it about 9 years ago so def couldnt tell you about price but we do remember having a good day. Bus picked us up from where we were staying and took us to the harbour at Marmaris where we were taking over to Rhodes by catamaran, once at Rhodes we were free to walk around for the rest of the day by ourselves to explore and just had to be back for a certain time. It was nice to experience a different country - or a little bit of it - during one holiday. We would do it again, so yeah id say worth doing.

Did it last August, cost £35.00 and was at sea for around 1 1/4 each way plus about an hour to clear customs at both ends. We found it extremely expensive, enjoyable? yes to a point, would I go back? been there done it got the T shirt.

Following the collapse of Aegean Flights a few years ago we travelled via Rhodes outbound to get to Marmaris but didn't see anything of the island, we said then we would like to go back.

This year we are staying in Istanbul for a few days before arriving in Icmeler (Organised by ICR), I think next year or the year after we will do the same with Rhodes, fly there spend a few days, ferry to Marmaris and the remainder of the holiday in Icmeler flying back to the UK from Dalaman, again we will be touch with ICR to arrange everything.

Just a thought of another way to visit the Island.

We did the Rhodes trip, it was an enjoyable day out, We used £s in a bar cafe and was ok, Took a trip on the noddy train, was most enjoyable. But we had a meal in the the old town and they held me captive whist my husband ran to change money as they didnt acccept £s. Stopped for a drink at one of the last bars on way out, wow the large beer was a two litre boot glass, beware.
All in all a trip worth doing though.
You can get duty free on the way back
Think we paid around £50
Therre is a lovely beach there
