Where is the best shop for the 'designer' clothes uggs etc

Postby Chris221273 » 16 Aug 2011 09:17

We are walking round icmeler trying to find the best/cheapest price for superdry etc etc.
We have quite a bit to buy but the shop keepers won't even give us a price unless we r going to buy it!!
We r just going round in circles.
Any help would be much appreciated.

The clothes shop just up from the Lighthouse in the main square is meant to be good for clothes, and there is a shop near Harry's Steakhouse which does good quality fake Uggs - you could try those for starters.

Hi Chris,
The shop next to lighthouse called "Greenhouse" is great and has always looked after me over the past 10 years..
Ismail is the owner and will always help you

Good luck... If you pop in tell him I will see him Sunday

Maybe around 15 lira? But make sure they are quality t-shirts before you buy them and if they are then I don't mind paying a bit more for quality.

Make sure you check sizes, Turkish sizes can be "different" M in one item can be L in another, take a tape measure with you.

Hi Chris,

Due to the clothes in Greenhouse being very good quality he doesnt barter his quoted prices are normally the price for the item without any exceptions... but what I can tell you is they are excellent quality.. I buy every year and they last for years as well and always wash great

Hi Chris
We usually ask for the price, then we ask for the 'best' price that they can give. If it's still too much we just say that's it's too much and very often they'll drop the price again not to lose the sale. If not we just go elsewhere. As a guide we offer 50% of the first price that they give us and haggle a bit and usually we end up paying about 75%. Hope this helps.

Hi Chris
I agree with Shaun, in some shops the price is good to begin with so you can't realistically expect them to drop the price any more. The best way is to check on the prices in different shops to get an idea of the price in the first place. If the shopkeepers won't give you a price unless you're going to buy, how do they know you've no intention of buying it unless you tell them? So ask for the price with the intention of buying it and then change your mind afterwards if the price is too high,if you see what I mean!

Greenhouse for us also.Bought our daughter 3 hoodies 1 Henley, G Star and a SuperDry also 2 pairs of Jeans Tommy Helifger and Mulberry both had to be taken up and in. I also got a pair of jeans and a SuperDry hoodie whole lot came to about £100 and that icluded alterations to 3 pairs of jeans. Excellent quality. We have a friend who is a label freek and she really couldn't tell the difference in her SuperDry hoodie and mine. And we did get a bit of discount because of the amount of clothing that we bought.
Wouldn't buy clothing from any other shop. Will be back again in September.

Agree with Shaun and Lynda - Greenhouse is best in resort. Owned by twins who have run the shop for years.
No bartering and somethings are slightly more than other shops - but you get what you pay for - excellant quality and you can tell by looking at it.

Greenhouse for me too. The quality is great and they have all washed well. The service is also good and the more often we went in and bought the better the discount we got, without asking. You can spend a lot of time looking around and bartering but I think this place cannot be beaten for all round satisfaction. :D :D
