Today we buried a really good friend of mine Linda, she was beautiful inside and out and the most selfliss person I have ever known, she always had time for other people despite being ill and crippled with pain.

She would ride her mobility scooter down her local canal bank on a night and take the homeless people cups of tea and sandwiches, when I told her to be careful she would reply, " I am doing gods work, it will be ok " she helped all her family out and gave me several second chances and used to ring me at 5am when neither of us could sleep.

She was a true friend and I miss her greatly.

RIP Linda

Sounds like you lost a good diamond there.

I have a friend who was homeless for 2 years. He, in his own words "Just went for a walk one day" when his mother passed on. His survival and consequent rehabilitation is due significantly to the help from people like your friend Linda.

The cherry on my friends cake is, that when he got back in touch with us, his family and friends, we were able to inform him that his mother had left him a significant amount of money in her will. Much of which he has used to help those who have been through similar trauma's.

It ain't all bad news is it.

There are not enough people in this world like Linda.

A lot of the stories she would tell me, would be similar to your friends plight and even to help one person find love , family and warmth again would make her face beam.

Thats really good to hear about your friend, and even better to hear how he will now help others to find there way. Your right sometimes there are happy endings to things :D

Just want to add for Armistice day that we always remember the fallen, we thank them, salute them and will never forget them.

I know it's late on, but been a bad day for me

thought while its coming up to christmas anyone with littluns should have a look at this site

http://www.portablenorthpole.tv/home

A few questions later + pics if you wish gives you a brilliant message for the kids.

just completed it for my two and can't wait to see their reactions to it.

Well I will add mine then.

What they did is what people do for a laugh.

We all (well lots of us get texts that would make the pc people go crazy) we laugh and joke and it was off air so I do think there is a vendetta out for him/them but............

I am so glad gray is gone as all I do when watching Liverpool is scream at the tv as he is the most biased person on this planet.

Bye gray

Serious point JT.

Andy Gray has never given credence to any one who has never played pro football as to having a valid opinion.

I saw Gray play football, and believe me, he gave the world the term "Over rated".

I am a referee and once met one of the most senior and revered refs in our game, who told me he could write what Gray knows about football on the back of a fag packet.

If I had asked a female colleague to put her hands down my trousers, it would not be classed as "Banter".

It would be classed as "Sexual Harassment" and as such, I would be dismissed and quite possibly arrested.

Andy Gray's word in football was not law. Just the word of a rather average footballer to saw a chance, was given a chance...and remained a chancer.

Nice quiet night in tonight alone and watching catch up on the internet (come dine with me) until one of them said something

Ok if there is something that pis*e* me off its certain words.

Sea Bass, come on this is the UK all of our Bass come from the sea unlike USA where its caught in a lake and all gob and bone so why ask for SEA Bass

Pan Fried, how the hell are you supposed to fry something if its not in a pan so why the hell say PAN fried.

To Die For, what the hell is this supposed to mean, why not say fantastic succulent very tasty, I have seen men write this on forums and even say it on TV and does my head in.

At the end of the day is another expression that came about a few years ago as in "at the end of the day its your choice" what happened to the word "finally" put in the right context.

Another that came to light a few years ago and I think from what I remember booking people over the phone and talking to people from all over the UK originated south of Watford Gap "Ah Bless" what the hell is it

There are more and rant over for now.

Back to the vino and catch up
