End of Icmeler season?

Postby a_femalearcher » 22 Aug 2010 18:17

Hi all,
We are thinking of going to Icmeler in October however we are slightly concerned that it will be pretty quiet there then due to schools returning back and the October not necessarily being the 'height of the summer season' as it were. Just wondering if anybody has been to Icmeler during October and when do the businesses tend to close for end of season?
Many thanks

We go every October and things do start to wind down towards the second half of the month, but there are still plenty of places open and lots still to do. It's a nice time to go - we've always been pretty lucky with the weather too, although it can get a bit cooler in the evenings, so you might find you need a cardi or light jacket. We're going again from the 14th to the 21st this year - can't wait!

Ha, we're destined never to meet BJT, we come home on the 10th!
But back to the original question, its getting quieter but still plenty to do. Better bargains in the shops due to them trying to get shot of stuff before they close.

Hi all,
Thanks for your replies - sorry for delay in getting back don't get on here as often as I would like. We shall defo look into October time for our next Icmeler trip. It will be especially nice as we do know a few faces out there (we tend to avoid July/August as it must be manic) and like you say it's nice if they can spare some time to sit with you as they all do make your holiday special.
Thanks again, xxx
