Flight from Glasgow was delayed an hour, this was ok. Flight then left on time and went as planned and 4hrs later arrived at Dalaman. Went through passport control, finally got our bags and off to find our private transfer to Ovacik. An hour later we were at our apartments, and it was bed time due to night flight.
Up next morning to bright beautiful sunshine which was to be the same for the next 3 weeks. Wander round Hisaronu and picked up some food nice area. Done Fethiye market trip which also included the Ghost village, and Turkish delight factory nice way to pass the day. Also visited Olu Deniz beach couple of times and finally got to see the blue lagoon and it was worth it. Only problem with Olu Deniz beach is it is very pebbly, sore on the feet and they seem to get everywhere.
Went into Hisaronu at night and had some great nights there, we definitely want to go back someday. After a quickish week it was time to depart and head home to Icmeler at first we didn't want to go as we were having such a great time there, but after we got there and got over it we were glad to be back. Think we were surprised that we'd enjoyed Ovacik/Hisaronu as much as we ahd.
Transfer picked us up on time and by 2.15pm we were in Icmeler at Sun Blue apts,again nice apartments great location. Decided this year we were going to try and not go to the ususal bars, mainly due to the same old entertainment so in the 2wks only seen Michael Jackson once which was great
Visited 3 Bells (at the back), Captain Bullshits, Scotia bar (only bar that seemed to have the Scotland game on so went back another couple of times), Las Vegas, Friends (60's 70's & 80's one), Cafe Erdem, Cafe Del Mar, Oh Yes, and others I can't remember the names. No bad meals to be had anywhere.Went on a boat trip another great day out was had, also done Turkish bath twice once taken to Hotel Golmar in Icmeler and other taken to Hotel Beganville in Marmaris both good and felt so great afterwards. Apart from that we had a great relaxing time which was just what was needed after waiting so long for this holiday.
Managed to meet Sue and Andrea was great to see you both.
Well that time had come again and it was time to come home, once again transfer turned up it was earlier than we needed as they had been told Dalaman road was closing for 2hrs that day and so were in the airport way too early for our flight, managed to see that you can get a tea and bit of cake for 5 lira bargain as my water cost the same! Flight time had changed but all went well flight left just few minutes late and landed in Glasgow even if a tad bit dodgy then it was back to reality, work to pay for next years holiday.
All in all a great time was had in both resorts and now looking for next years holiday probably 3 weeks in Icmeler
