Curry Lovers Beware

Postby Erik The Viking » 17 Oct 2011 18:11

As a regular to Icmeler for years now, those that know me, know I do love my food, especially my curries. There has been much debate on this forum about the best curry. Some like the Massala, some Taj Mahal, some the Bonjour, others like elsewhere. The truth is the curry served in these restaurants is all the same!

This van delivers to all those restaurants, you can see 'Curry Express' written on the side, and it is ALL made in a factory in Beldibi called Rajeh Express. You can buy it in many restaurants in Icmeler - even Cafe Ann! It is even for sale in the Tansas.

I know this will open up a can of worms but it is the truth, mass made like the curry over here in Asda! Tandoori Sizzler may not be everyones taste but it is truly one of the only restaurants that makes every curry to order, hence the wait sometimes.

Ask about in Icmeler, there is even a catalogue with it all in!, no matter how you dress the curry up in these restaurants it is all bulk manafactured!

It is getting better every year reesy, first year in Sizzler was ropey but the boys take any comments on board and try to improve it every time. Never tried the Ugra but may give it a go

As far as we are concerned the only place to get a decent curry these days is to jump on a dolmus and go to Taj Mahal in Marmaris! Nowhere in Icmeler compares.

Last time we were in Icmeler we were disappointed to find all the breakfasts were made in one place and delivered to the local restaurants.

Where's the Ugra Restaurant? I can't find it on the map and I've never noticed it on my wanderings around Içmeler.

Probably to illustrate ellie123's point about the breakfast's being mass produced as well as the curry's.

Thanks Janey. I knew that the curries were being mass produced but if it's true, I'm really surprised about the breakfasts.

I've never seen/bought/eaten a breakfast out as we always have the Turk brekkie in doors so I can't comment about whether it's possible although if this refers to an English breakfast then I suppose certain components can be mass produced, not that I'd know, lol!

I think that you seem to have the wrong idea here, if you look closly at the text on Erik's photograph, you would notice an introduction of artifacts (fuzzy around the edges) indicating that the picture had been edited, also the background reflection across the van seems to have disapeared in the first photo, but not on the second.

Ok. Now I'm totally confused, is there a suggestion that meals are mass produced or is it some type of joke?

For what it's worth, when I first saw the 2 images the 'problems' with them stood out like a saw thumb.

I'm a graphic designer and work with Photoshop every single day and the 'problems' with the 2 images are blatantly obivious.

The curry van image is the doctored image.

The chances of 2 vans being parked in the same spot with the same car casting the exact same shadow on the van and the 2 photo's being taken at exactly the same time for the reflection to be the same are way beyond calculations.

The reflection running off the back of the curry van has been clearly editied out you can see the pixelation just as you can around the new curry sign on the van.

For me, for what ever reason somebody is being slightly mischievous here.
