Taj Mahal

Postby molly malone » 01 Apr 2006 10:49

I think this is one of the best restaurants in Icmeler, which is just as well as I don't think I could last 2 weeks without a nice curry. They do set meals which include a bottle of wine too :P

If you love curry, korma or any other kind of spicy food you should visit the Taj Mahal. The food is great & good set menu's available. You can also try samples before you enter!

Hi all, well my husband and i have eaten at the taj mahal both times that we have visited icmeler, they definately made the best curries :D . It was still standing when we went in 2006 and until i read this post i hadn't realised it was knocked down....i do hope it will be ready by the time we go back this July! Does anyone know if it will return as the taj mahal or if it will be re named?? Thanks for the info. Kim Crisp.

Taj Mahal rules. Best (only) place for a curry lol.

Was very good but very quiet. Owners a big fan of Bradford I believe?

The Taj is still there I can confirm that after eating there 4 times in the 2 weeks I was there, it has been refurbished and is looking good same style as the Taj in Marmaris
The set menu is an absolute bargain and really tasty best curry ever

Taj Mahal

Postby GillyB » 14 Sep 2008 17:29

This was by far our most favourite restaurant and meal of our holiday in August. We ate there twice and each time the food was beautiful. My other half even ordered a takaway whilst we were still eating and it was ready for us leaving.

Would highly recommend visiting.

I live 2 minutes from Bradford and was seriously dissapointed when we visited in August. The starter and naan was ok but I did not rate the korma at all, in fact it was that bad I could not eat it. I have curries at least twice a week from our local and the one in Taj Mahal was not a patch. That said, the restaurant and service was very good. Hubby enjoyed his too. Must be my fussy palate. This was the only meal I did not enjoy in the whole 2 weeks

I have never eaten there as Phill doesnt eat spicy/Indian foods. Do they serve any basic plain meals there, or is it all Indian food?

I love Indian curries.
