well what can i say, we visited deja vu on the basis of having a lovely meal there last year and it being so close to where we were staying, great atmosphere too then

we paid the a visit last week and we struck up conversation with a couple on the next table over where they had been during their hol etc and so only ordered drinks at first
this seemed to upset the staff as we took a while to order food
when it came, it was disappointing [to say the least]
certainly different from last year and we won't be rushing back

to be fair, the guys gave us no hassle each day we walked passed, but the place in our opinion has gone downhill from last year all round

so if you want an average meal, and average service, you won't be disappointed, but Sylvias just up the road would seem a better bet - they've an eat all you can chinese , with different events every night

Thanks for your report Fanny, I think it will be just a drink when we return in October and go for meals where we know they are great and worth the money.

PS, Welcome back.

I'd recommend Wayside for great food [just up the road towards Tansas or Selam - down the road from the Moonlight restaurant, both have great food, service and staff but no music, just real Turkish hospitality

We stayed at the Prestij Apartments -- just around the corner from Deja Vu. Advertised on the boards at the front is a 'Free Pool Table', we gave my brother the money to buy drinks while he went in with a friend to use the pool table. He was discussing another bar quietly with his friend but one of the staff overheard and he was threatened with violence and told to 'F-Off!'. Came back to us very upset and it made him quite frightened to walk past the bar.

We were never hassled after we took the treatment of my brother up with the staff involved but several families from our apartments were constantly hassled in a way that was threatening, univiting and nasty -- consequently they did not go into the Deja Vu and crossed the road just to get past. After telling the other families about the treatment of my brother (who is only 12 by the way) they were all disgusted.

Just a word of warning to anyone actually planning to use the facilities advertised or talk about any other bar in icmeler while in this establishment!!!

What a shame doing that to a 12 year old boy. We had a lovely very late lunch there last year and then one of the waiters spoiled it by being extremely rude. However because I enjoyed the food I wanted to go back again this year. Again the food was lovely and as far as I'm aware the staff (or at least the person who served us) was different. However, one of the English staff at the apartments we stayed in this year told people to avoid this place. I dind't ask why, however reading the posts here it's no much wonder he did. What a pity because the food was really nice and as I said the guy who served us and who sat and talked with us this year was nice.

I don't understand these last few reviews, if I'm honest. When I was there in July alot of people in the Pinewood, Celik & Prestij Apartments were going to Deja Vu and everyone was enjoying themselves and the staff would go out of there way to help you and everyone would have a chat with them when it got to 12 and the entertainment went off.

I guess it's everybodys opinion to themselves but if you've never been or have been and enjoyed it, I don't see how there opinions matter. Yes, reputation matters, but I think it's unfair not to give them a chance. It might sound a bit biased because I know some of the lads who work there and they're all smashing but I'm not, I'd think this about every resteraunt/pub in Icmeler.

As for the hassling, there's a difference between someone asking you to come in there resteraunt and showing you the menu to what the hassling used to be like in Icmeler.

Feel free to agree/disagree.

to be quite honest i agree strongly with jonny, this place is great and i cant see how the staff can be like that, have known them for years, and the day in august that two young boys were in deja vu playing pool, my daughter was also there that day, im not saying anything about this incident but she said it looked like they were happily playing pool, im not sayin this isnt true but she didnt see anyone being nasty in anyway to them.. but as jonny said everyone has their own opinions of this place

I finally found this place when looking for Prestij apts to see if friends had arrived. I went in for some food and a drink and the food was nice and when asked for the bill they had overcharged us. Also my friends who stayed at the Prestij were overcharged for some beers and never went back the rest of their stay.

Also had the old overcharging on the bill thing when we went in. I don't normally name places as staff change so often etc. But after questioning my bill I was told I had psychological problems lmao. Perhaps I have but I've never known them to affect my ability to add up or know how many meals or drinks I have had.

We also had a similar problem. Chap on the front offered to do us a special that they had running the previous evening but unfortunately when we came to pay the bill he had gone and they had charged us all separate prices for our meals. Fortunately it only came to not much more than if they had charged correctly but they lost out on a tip and on any future custom for the rest of the fortnight. I did tell the chap on the front the next time we passed and he said you should have told them but who needs this type of hassle on holiday, I don't, so I voted with my feet and stayed away. Di.

have to say that we were really impressed with deja vu when we were there in september.

as we were staying next door in the prestij aparts we gave it a miss on the first couple of days as there's so many places to eat/drink in. when we did have a meal we really enjoyed it and returned another couple of times during our holiday with the same result. i also watched a few footie matches in there and there was no over-charging on any of our food and drink bills. in fact on one of our food bills they'd forgotten to charge for one of our starters, so mistakes can be made both ways, but i know it's a pain being over-charged.

the lads were really good fun and when the thunder storm happened they were escorting everyone back to nearby apartments with huge brollys.

it's a shame some people haven't been so keen but we certainly enjoyed our time spent here.

When I first read the reviews on here I wrongly assumed that it would be for the younger ones rather than my people own age. I was wrong, the waiters were fanctatic with the children and had them doing all sorts  Food was good when we ate there too.

spent a lot of time in the Deja vu and had a wonderful time again. the staff in here are a great bunch. it is a pity they are not allowed to present the entertainment they did last year. reallllllly looking forward to go back in august.
