Hi Bode.
Bread costs between 1 & 2 tl a loaf depending on whether you want sliced or unsliced, white or brown. Sliced brown is at the dearer end.
A 2 litre bottle of milk cost approx. 2 tl. As for butter, by proper I guess you mean salted. We only know of 1 place that sells it in Icmeler and that is Costa supermarket on the main crossroads. Its expensive at approx. 15tl because its imported. Unsalted butter is approx. 4tl.
Prices will probably have risen slightly by next year, as they do in the UK, but local produce like fruit & veg, chicken & eggs are cheap.
Hope this helps.

You can buy a lovely loaf of freshly baked, unsliced bread at the bakery for less than 1TL - if I remember rightly, they were about 45 kurus the last time we bought one. The little bakery just round the corner from the bigger Migros supermarket is good.

Also, you can buy fruit and veg really cheaply - the Wednesday market still sells fruit and veg but there are some very good little greengrocers around the resort too. Another good and cheap option if you are self catering is to buy a cooked chicken - Alin's on the main road near Migros does them, or there is a chicken shop up near the school too - to have with bread and salad.

You can get breakfast cereal in pretty much all the shops with the exception of Weetabix.
