Has anyone ever taken a toaster with them?

Not personally, no - but I do know of people who have bought a cheap one and taken it with them.

Rather than taking a toaster with you, adding to the weight in your case, you could buy one in Icmeler. Migros sell them and they only cost a few lira. At the end of your stay sell/give it to another holidaymaker.

Good idea - or you could donate it at the end of your holiday to the ROSA (Respect Our Street Animals) animal welfare charity shop - almost opposite the Holiday restaurant.

We always take a cheap Tesco toaster and fan with us and give them to the cleaner when we leave.
