Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

Just heard on the news that there has been a 6.7 earthquake which has affected both Turkey & Greece and on reading more it has been felt in Marmaris. Hope everyone is ok in Icmeler?

Kos has obviously been the worst affected, but there also seems to have been quite a bit of damage in and around the Bodrum area. From what I can gather so far, the Icmeler/Marmaris area hasn't been as badly hit, but it would clearly be quite frightening for many people and there may well be some minor damage. Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by this and hope everyone stays safe.

My daughter is in icmeler at the moment she said it was felt but only for a very short time it woke everyone up at the hotel but from what she said there doesn't appear to be any damage

when we were there last sept we had a minor tremor of 3.4 and it only lasted less than 2 minutes and was scarey but would not put me off going - my family live in LA and like turkey it is a regular occurance.
