Macca, if you're looking for places which do good Turkish food, try Meryem Yemek Evi. It's on the other side of the road from Hanedan - between Latina Goldsmiths and Pizza Timo. Great food and great value too. Also look out for Kardelen - opposite the bigger Migros supermarket (what used to be Tansas), Kayra Pide and Cadde Pide.

Thanks for those recommendations, we have been in the Kyra Pide and the Meryem Yeremek, but not the Kardelen so will look out for that. Funnily enough one of the best meals we had was a Korean in the 3 Bells very nice indeed

It's always nice to try new places and we are always on the lookout for good Turkish cuisine.

There's apparently a new one in the same street as the Buffalo bar which is meant to be quite good too - think it might be called Hanci?

Day 21 of 25
Been really hot today
Currently sat in Romeo and Juliets drinking dark fruit cider it is delicious definitely recommend.
Last night ate at chef excellent meal as usual , tonight we ate at love boat beautiful setting slightly more expensive but
excellent meal and well worth it.
Rate in resort today 378 so moving in the right direction ,we have been in the resort three weeks and it's gone so quickly.
The resort appears to be the busiest since we arrived three weeks ago so with a bit of luck our Turkish friends will get the good September they are hoping for.
We have already booked to come back next year for 3 weeks staying once again at the lighthouse.
Been doing a bit of shopping the last couple of nights for clothing bags and jewellery all at good prices.
Still hoping to fit one more boat trip in before we go home.
Anyway don't forget Any questions don't hesitate to ask ??

Merhaba from a very hot Icmeler
Day 25 of 25
Well our 2016 ICMELER adventure is coming to a close and can honestly say we have had a great time, met some old friends & made some new.
Just had lunch st the Lighthouse & currently sat by the pool catching the last of the Turkish sun before our transfer back to Dalaman at 6 tonight.
Had a terrific meal at the Lighthouse last night then went to see our good friend Oscar to say goodbye.
This is the only part of the holiday we dislike if only you could wave a magic wand and find yourself magically transported back home.
To all of you about to come over I can once again say that at all times we have felt totally safe and We hope you have as good a holiday as we have had.
Will sign off for now to catch the last bit of sun.

Have just read this it seems like such a long time ago as I sit looking out on a cold and wet night in Lydiate fortunate to have had a couple of holidays since then and off to Benidorm next month .Have been following with interest the reports from Icmeler and really looking forward to reading members reports when the season starts in May so don,t forget to post we fly out on the 27th July so we will post when we are there
