John's right about Deniz in the harbour, he and I had the calamari there last year, it was fantastic. The marina's well worth a visit. It makes a nice change from Icmeler, the taxi boat goes back and forth all day, or if you're a bit more adventurous, hire a bike and cycle along the path. Great afternoon/evening out.

Ref the Deniz, I'm afraid it's a never again from me! ... Food poisoned in there last September after a Fish main course .. Mrs G was okay with what she had, but said the meal wasn't nice.

Hadn't eaten all day and thought we'd try the Restaurant as we'd been told it was worth a try, worst thing was we had a Boat trip booked next day and I was dying below deck for the day

I used the Deniz restaurant along with all my friends and Turkish family at least twice a week all through the winter and never had a problem and never will

what the above should also have said in the first sentence that never got there was i hope it all turned out ok in the end as nothing worse than bad guts on holiday

Thanks JT ... It was our last full day on the Boat trip, so went home the following day

Ozge Owners were brilliant and kept me topped up with fluids (including Baby Milk Cartons! Lol) to help settle my Stomach and even arranged a quick Taxi Boat from Turunc, that allowed me and Mrs G to get back to the Hotel quicker.

It was probably a one off bad Fish, but you know what it's like if you have a bad experience somewhere, you just wouldn't return, which is a shame as the setting is lovely and a nice change of scenery instead of the norm in Icmeler
