JT, any guides as to price rises possible to counter the high lira rate - prices for set meals, beer, spirits for example??

The businesses still have to make some form of profit or the resort will die from lack of future investment over each session of winter months.

All that most tourists want is fair pricing and a bit of honest bartering for decent goods on sale!

I'm bringing some cash for new leather sandals and may swap old for new suitcases as we did here five years ago - cracking quality and decently priced. Our second suitcase allowance is usually taken up with Icmeler goods on the return journey.

Hmm, prices at the moment are prices for the people living in Marmaris and Icmeler and Icmeler in one place I have heard 8 lira for a beer but it is a cafe and a friend of mine who lives close to it told me about that.

Marmaris, well I have not heard anything from the bar owners about price rises for the new season and prices are ranging from 6 lira a beer in Tigers bar in the marina to 14 lira in Bono. though Captains bar on beach is 9 lira and another bar I go into is also 9 lira

I have not seen any price rises in the last few weeks in the shops
