You can still get a visa on arrival, but it will cost you £20 and you may have to be prepared for long queues.

Easiest way is to do your evisa online - just make sure you only use the official site - www.evisa.gov.tr

The problems which other people have been experiencing, like you describe, come about because there are other sites which come up if you google evisa turkey, for instance - they will rip you off and there have instances of people being conned out of various sums in this way. Some are perfectly legal, but act as a third party "checking" your application for you and charging a fee to do so, so make sure you only use that link I have given and you should be fine. You can now do multiple applications so it should be straightforward to do the three for all your family. Doing it through the official site is priced in dollars - it will cost you $20 - roughly £12 - but your bank may charge you a small additional fee on top of this as it is a foreign currency transaction.

Yes simple process on the correct site, I did the four of us in about 15 minutes,

You select the country you are from, confirm the type of ID documentation (Ordinary Passport) and then enter the date you arrive. You then complete a page of questions for the first person, and then click add a person etc, once complete you receive an email where you click on the link and it gives you the option to pay, you can then print your evisa's or use the email sent to you to download them.
Mine worked our at just under £12 per person including transaction fee, cheaper than the £20 in arrival and you get to avoid the queue which I think this year will be quite long as there won't be many visa desks open as they expect people to but before they fly,

You can get it from 3 months before you go. Put in the date you want it to start (departure) and it will give you the date that it is valid to. (180 days)

Maybe an obvious question but I wield just like some reassurance

Can you use the same visa to enter turkey even if you have already been to Turkey & returned!
I.e we have had our holiday in May & going back august our visa we purchased is valid until November am I right to say we jus take this visa with us do not need to apply for another visa?

Many thanks

Yes it's a multi entry visa so you don't need another.

Hi, Donna,
When you fill in the form and submit....it says you will receive your Email... you have 1 hour to act on this Email or the application is cancelled....Please be aware sometimes the Email will go into you Spam / Junk folder and also don't forget to keep Refreshing your Email page... :)
You will be asked for payment when you verify the received Email..
We have just done our Visa'a and the reply Email was almost instant BUT in our Spam folder...thats Turkey for you....
