Boat Trips...

Postby ChickenLicken » 12 May 2005 10:10

Hi - first time to Icmeler in 5 weeks time and can't wait :) . We love our boat trips and was wondering if it's best to go outwith the tour company's trips and use local companies. Price isn't really a factor - would rather have more stops for swimming, longer trip etc. Or do all the trips go the same routes anyway? Cheers!

Hi Colette,
The office is on a side road behind the new Chill Bar,opposite Harrys Steak House and off the square were all the ATM machines are.

Its nearly under were the web cam is.

Boat Trip was A+++

Postby JayJay » 07 Jun 2005 17:43

We came back from Icmeler on Friday, Had a great time, but our Favorite day had to be the "Lazy Boat Day". We booked with "Joseph" who has a little stall at the end of a row of Market Stalls at Blue Corner Row. On the main promanade in front of the "Blue Rainbow" Hotel.

The Trip cost £7 (Stirling) and included Lunch.

We have tried lots of different boat trips in the past but this one was by far the best. The Boat is a small 2 decked boat for only 32 - 35 people. There were pleanty of sunbeds for everyone and even a few HUGE Bean bags.

The staff were amazing. these guys really look after you. The music was Gentle easy listening stuff, great to doze too! The meal was more than ample,, with loads of yummy pasta and salad. Chicken and Meat Pattis, all prepared fresh by the female chef as we sailed.

We Stopped at some beautiful, picturesque bays, for swim breaks. The steps into the sea were sturdy and wide and very easy to get in and out of the sea.

We are going back in October and will be sure to go on this trip/boat again, more than once during our next visit to Icmeler.

If you go on this trip, say a big hello from Jay (The big crazy lady, with all the piercings, who lost her T-shirt) :D

Although it is always better to book with your rep for trips, over the years i have found these to be very crowded. So I now take all my boat trips with excuse the pun but " Captain Bullshit", fantastic day out, great food, funny staff that keep you entertained all the way.

My experience with Icmeler is varied, as have been going there for 10 years so please feel free to ask questions.....

To all have a great holiday.........Icmeler is beautiful :D

Sunday Lunch boat trip on Captain Bullshits boat is a must, but get to the quay at least one and a quarter hours before departing to get a sunbed on the top deck.
Great fun, deliciouse roast,a good time guaranteed.
