Last one. For this year

Left dismal Manchester Tuesday 3rd October,no problemss with the Jet 2 flight.Private transfer on time, into resort for 730pm.Dumped the sashes off for a light bite and the customary Efes in The Three Bells.Great welcome back from the regulars and Mehmet and Smiley who manage the gaff.Couple of drinks then back home to bed.
Lovely sunny day Wednesday so spent the day lazing on the beach at B& S. Weather beautifu, beach busy, draft Efes 8tl.Great lunch another super day.
Thursday the obligatory boat trip. All inclusive draft Efes, stunning meal prepared by Yelis, aboard the Queen boat.Picked up from Icmeler, taken to Marmaris then returned back to Icmeler for a couple of cheeky ones in the Bells. Back home, changed and ready for another tasty offering this time at Ida in the main square.Plenty of tables full but great service and friendly staff The familiar face of Alex working front of house at Lighthouse next door.Sea bass , steak, seafood casserole bottle of red three liqueur coffees just over £50 Excellent value. Back home for an early night.
Friday greeted us again with nice sunshine.Probably the hottest day to date.Hopped the dolmus to Marmaris, still only 3tl. Walked round the harbour to Kahve Dunaayi on Netsel Marina for a steaming hot latte, complete with a dark chocalate spoon.Yummy. Even though we have been going to Icmeler and Marmaris for around 17 years,we have never visited Marmaris castle. One less thing to do now.8tl for entry and lots of information all around about the history dating back to 3rd century BC. And some great views over the bay.A note of caution though. The paths are that well used the stones have become shiny and polished and hence can be sloppy.Wear decent footwear. Then to Gusta on the harbour for lunch.Dolmus back to Icmeler and a lazy afternoon on a subbed in Efem apartments. Just ready now to enjoy the leg of lamb at Sidiks Bye for now Inch 1&963

Saturday night was a snack in Three Bells and watching a dour Super League Grand Final.Couple of beers then
home to bed.

Pt 3
Another lovely sunny day in Dalyan.A lesuirely stroll into town,Turkish breakfast and menemen sat by the side of the river.A stroll down to the river and onto the taxi boat for 40 minute trip down to Turtle beach. It is a peninsula of sand between the reed beds /river and the sea.Served by three bars run by students.Stunning place. Back on the boat after a short stay.15 Tl return.Or dolmus 7Tl return.Back to base and off for a cycle through the pomegranate fields.Just being harvested, never seen so many pomegranates..Sopped at Kingfisher bar to sample their Pom juice, plate of chips and back on the bikes. A great trip worth trying. Tea at Wembley and home.
Thursday got bikes out and cycled along the beachfront to Marmaris.Had a look around the bazaar which is quiet compared to summer. Lunch and an Efes at Gusta bar on the front in the harbour.Cycled back to Icmeler for an afternoon on the beach.Friday was a lazy day before dining at The Taj Mahal, Icmeler.Still great value for money with a bottle of wine thrown in.
Sunday morning, another road trip, this time to Fethiye. Stayed in a little hotel about 1km away from the front.Given the name of the local taxi man who was at our disposal at the end of the phone.Into town and the marina for a look round ,Lunch and a drink.
Stayed around the area all day before light snack,a visit to Caarrefour supermarket and back to the hotel. Laden with wine and beer for a couple of hours having a social drink with friends and a few hands of cards.Monday,Turkish breakfast with chips at the hotel.A visit for a look round the Esarta mall. Some purchases made and a walk back quite a way to the Marina for refreshments. That evening was spent at The Agora restaurant overlooking the Marina then back to base for a few hands of cards.
